Notes |
In Malawi, 95% of the 2.2 million farming families keep chickens. Newcastle disease, predation and parasites are the main constraints to productivity. Each year about 30% of the chickens are vaccinated with traditional vaccines. Successful vaccination resulted in increased flock sizes and household incomes. |
