Country Profiles
This section contains a country by country summary of institutes and
organisations with interests in rural poultry, including current and
recent projects and contact persons. Where the information is available,
an estimate of the population of rural poultry is given for each country.
These estimates refer to the national standing flock that is the birds
present on a single day and must be regarded as approximate. Because
of the rapid generation time of poultry, the standing flock will grossly
underestimate the numbers of birds present during a whole year.
